Ever since the enhanced community quarantine was implemented, a lot of Filipinos are bored out of their minds at home. Many have picked up their reading, while others catched up on their movies and series. Meanwhile, there are those who decided to be more productive by starting a TikTok channel. If you’re a resident of Muntinlupa City, why not make it worthwhile by joining the city’s Quarantine TikTok Challenge?

Councilor Phanie Teves opened this challenge for the city’s residents. According to her Facebook post, “Stay at home. Isa sa mga linyang dapat tandaan sa panahong ito upang maging ligtas at mabawasan ang chance ng pagkalat ng virus. Aliwin at libangin ang ating mga sarili sa simpleng pagsali sa challenge na ito at may chance ka pang manalo ng cash prize at grocery items.”

“Stay at home. One of the lines that we must all remember during these times to stay safe and lessen the chance of spreading the virus. Let’s entertain ourselves by joining this challenge, and you have a chance to win a cash prize and grocery items.”

She added that the contest is exclusive for Muntinlupa residents. Solo, duos, or groups are allowed, with no age limit, as long as they observe social distancing. Contestants are automatically disqualified if the video is set outside the house or outdoors. Only one entry is allowed per person or group. A member of a group is not allowed to post a solo entry, and a solo contestant cannot join a group.

The theme of the challenge is ” Stay at Home, Fight COVID-19.”

To join, interested contestants must share the above post with the hashtag #QuaranTikTokMuntinlupa. They can also upload a 15-45 second video on their wall, and tag Councilor Phanie and use the hashtag. All videos must be set to public. Videos are officially part of the contest if the councilor has liked the video.

The contest will run from March 23 to 25, 2020.

Councilor Phanie will choose the top 11 entries, with the winning entry set to receive a P5,000 cash prize. The rest will win a grocery package worth P500.
