On Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) recorded a scorching 35.5°C temperature on its Pasay and Tuguegarao stations.

PAGASA’s station in Quezon City recorded 35°C but with a feverish heat index of 39°C.

Meanwhile, its stations in Clark and Butuan City recorded 34.9°C and 33.3°C, respectively.

Additionally, PAGASA said that we should expect hotter days ahead as the northern monsoon (Hanging Amihan) weakens.

PAGASA forecasts that there might be no cooler days ahead despite the expectation of occasional thunderstorms in most of the country.
