According to the social media post, due to the number of calls and inquiries they are receiving regarding a transfer of weddings to the Manila Cathedral, they are “opening slots and extending assistance for weddings scheduled this January and February 2020. A personal visit to the Cathedral office will be helpful for us to assist you with the process.” The slots will depend on availability, though, so couples are advised to visit the cathedral’s office personally to discuss options.

Besides the Manila Cathedral, the National Shrine of St. Michael and the Archangels located in San Miguel, Manila also announced its willingness to assist couples. “For weddings scheduled in Batangas, Cavite and nearby affected areas due to the eruption of Taal, we are willing to extend assistance to those who would want to transfer their wedding at the National Shrine of St. Michael and the Archangels,” the church posted on their Facebook page.
