With social distancing being imposed in many parts of the world, many people find it hard to go out and buy essential needs. Lockdowns and community quarantines also make it difficult for residents to go far places just so they can buy food and necessities.

As such, government officials have taken different initiatives to help citizens get their goods more easily. Cities like Pasig, Manila, and Valenzuela have all set up mobile stores so their residents can buy food and necessities without having to travel far.

Likewise, Mayor Abby Binay also launched “Makati Mart” in Makati to provide an alternative marketplace for residents. On Twitter, the mayor said that this is to also help people in Makati avoid crowded places during this pandemic.

So far, the “Makati Mart” has roamed around Barangay Olympia and Rizal, carrying fresh vegetables, eggs, garlic, onions, tomatoes, and other products for sale at a cheap price.
