The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday announced 15 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the total in the country to 217.
It also confirmed one new recovery, bringing the total to eight.
The new patient to recover is a 48-year-old Filipino male from Cavite who has a travel history to Japan. He was admitted to the Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM) on March 7, 2020. He was discharged after testing negative twice for COVID-19.
Luzon has been placed under enhanced community quarantine while a state of calamity was declared for the entire country to address the COVID-19 pandemic that originated from China.
