At the event, we learned what makes great meat. United States’ meats undergo stringent controls wherein livestock health programs and monitoring are conducted by the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and meat inspection programs to meet the world’s strictest health and hygiene control. Beef imported by the USDA is ensured to be safe to be consumed by the buyers.

US meat has a very high quality and guaranteed wholesomeness because of the sophisticated technology and government inspection system. Unique tastes, tenderness, and high nutritional values are can be found in U.S. meats. I also learned that beef in the US is corn-fed. 

Usually, U.S. meats are convenient to cook because of the nice cuts they import to our country. They offer a rapid and guaranteed supply due to big volume production and sophisticated distribution methods.

We got to try different USDA meats during the 5-star night, where three restaurants – Jin Joo, Fireside, and Mimi & Bros- presented us with different dishes using USDA meats.

Mimi & Bros served us USDA Pork Ribs slow-cooked with pumpkin and apple sauce to complement the clean and soft taste of the ribs. It had a moist and smooth texture, making it the perfect match for mashed potatoes.

Jin Joo let us try their Galbi Jjim. They stewed some USDA beef to make it tender and soft. The taste had a light flavor perfect for rice and Jin Joo’s Korean Sauce.

Last but not the least was Fireside’s House Burger made with USDA beef patty, and topped with zucchini, onion, and cheese. The burger was not greasy, and it was juicy and tender. We had the option to get it with or without buns. 

When choosing the meat you serve your family, make sure that it is of high quality, safe, and made to be the best whatever way you’ll cook them.

USDA meats are available in all supermarkets, grocery stores, and membership shopping establishments nationwide.
