Home-baked goods can give the sweetest and most authentic dessert experience. A perfected recipe from the heart can easily  rival the quality of pastries and sweets we usually see at mall stalls and restaurants. This notion is exactly what Syrup Desserts Manila plans to promote. To do that, they’re here to bring home-baked goods to our doorstep and challenge our insatiable sweet tooth.

Based in Las Piñas, Syrup Desserts Manila aims to deliver the best cakes, pastries, and other baked goods from the South to other parts of Manila. Although they have a luscious collection of desserts, they’re most known for their ‘The Ben’ chocolate cake and fudge brownies. Chocolate lovers are always after their bestsellers—and for good reason.

The Ben is a moist chocolate cake with custard filling. On top, it has a flawless swirl of silky chocolate ganache made from Hershey’s chocolate frosting. The outer layer alone is an absolute feast for the eyes, but the cake is irresistible inside and out. We won’t be surprised if you finish it all in one sitting.

The Ben’s whole and half trays sell for Php1,000 and Php500, respectively. The 9×12 whole tray is perfect for parties and gatherings, while the 6×9 half tray can cater to 2-4 persons. Again, we won’t judge you if you’ll empty the pan in one sitting, but you can also refrigerate the cake for up to two weeks if you want to enjoy them for longer.

The brownies, meanwhile, are oozing with rich and gooey chocolate. The middle layer is fudgy and dense, while the top layer has a crispy crust on it. All of the textures will melt in your mouth – a feeling you won’t likely forget once you’ve tried them.
